Outdoors especially our yards or gardens play a special role in our home beautification. It gives the visitors the first impression on how beautiful it is to leave in your home, or how the occupants are hardworking enough to maintain one. Maintaining a garden is not an easy task coz it requires the occupant to gain enough knowledge and experience to have a successful garden or to be a successful gardener.

The main principle of the butterfly garden is to plant and give them a best house to stay. Butterflies, are very attractive insect, has basic needs like, food, soil moisture, sunlight, a great breeding place to reproduce and a stable food for their offspring or babies. Planting many flowering plants can meet their daily needs so there is a tendency for them to come more at your place to stay for good.

As a fact and our elementary teacher says, the food our beautiful creatures is the flower’s nectar. Creating a garden that will have a variety of flowers that bloom all summer long will keep the butterflies returning time and time again throughout the summer. Butterflies land on the flower to feed on the nectar; flower that have flat blooms, like daisies and coneflowers, provide a landing pad for the butterflies to rest on while they feed.

Despite of their beauty, did you know that aside from flower’s nectar, butterflies also eat on rotten fruits and fresh cow manures? You can make more butterflies to come by placing a very ripe sweet smell fruits like, mangos and oranges will send them into a feast. It is also advisable to put a fresh cow’s manure in the garden. It hasn’t had a very foul odor if it was fresh. Put them not too close to plants because it might burn them, also cows manure will serve a fertilizer when decomposed.

Butterflies also need minerals as any living things does. They obtain this minerals on the soil. Butterflies will congregate on a mud puddle, wet soil or wet sand to absorb the needed minerals. This is called puddling. Make your little flying pets a comfortable place and give them minerals as they need. Make a location in your garden that is low and always having the good moist to make an inviting puddling into your butterflies. An easy way to create a puddling spot in the garden is to sink a shallow container, like a pie pan, up to the rim in the garden soil, then fill the container with soil or sand and add water.

Before a butterfly can take to the air in flight each day, it must warm its body and charge up its solar panel wings by spending some time in the sunshine. This is why butterflies are often seen in the early morning hours resting on rocks with wings spread open, they are absorbing the sunshine. Provide some sort of rocks to imitate their natural habitat is a boom. It well help your butterflies charge up their wings into flight.

When you finished the requirements or the needs of your soon to be pets, surely they will come to you instantly.
